Farm Updates

Strawberry season is nearing!

Barry Mosier

Greetings strawberry lovers! Although strawberries thrive in this cool wet spring, it also delays the season. Our current estimate of opening day will be June 21 to 23-We will keep you posted. That would be our latest opening ever! You have endured a long cold winter and cold wet spring-hang in there a little longer. Just remember that the season may be shorter this year due to the late start, so after we open, get your berries as soon as you can. The field has been loaded with blossoms and now the fruit is ripening. Looks like a great crop. Our last 2 years were challenging with hail and bugs. This year, we see a great picking season.

Wednesday May 15 Update

Barry Mosier

Asparagus season has started! We have fresh picked asparagus on the farm from 8am to 6pm Sunday-Friday. Our family loves it roasted in the oven with a little oil and seasonings. Follow our asparagus signs to 60687 205 Ave Dodge Center. Enjoy the first vegetable of the year!

Monday July 2 Update

Sunday July 1 Update

Barry Mosier

God is good! As we scouted our field this morning, we checked one section of our farthest that did not get picked last week. Wow! We found lots of good sized to big berries with exceptional sweetness. So, we will open today (Sunday) for Upick and may have very limited supplies of prepicked berries available. It may be a little wet this morning, but the afternoon should be beautiful for picking. Of course, we still have frozen berries available this week while supplies last. Last chance! See you on the farm!

Friday June 29 Update

Barry Mosier

Today is likely the last day to get 2018 strawberries (8am to 6pm).Prepicked will be first come, first serve. Still nice berries to pick! We recommend picking in the morning as it will get hot this afternoon. We still have top quality frozen berries, but don't wait as they are going fast. We will open our stand in Kasson today, but not Owatonna. We will look at our fields on Sunday morning on the chance we might open for upick that day. Closed on Saturday for our Sabbath rest as usual. Thanks for supporting a local farm family!
